An experienced small animal and exotics veterinarian and Certified Veterinary Acupuncturist, Dr. Rittle’s practice philosophy focuses on preventative medicine, client education and working with pet owners to assist them in making the best decisions for their pets. She has become recognized among Metro Atlanta’s small mammal and exotics community and was honored in Atlanta Magazine’s 2010 Pet Edition as a ‘Best Exotics Vet’. Additionally, Dr. Rittle is a recommended veterinarian by the House Rabbit Society.
Prior to joining Peachtree Hills Animal Hospital, Dr. Rittle served as a veterinarian and Certified Veterinary Acupuncturist at Bell’s Ferry Veterinary Hospital. She received her DVM from the University of Florida, College of Veterinary Medicine and a BS in Ecology from Millersville University in Pennsylvania.
In her free time, Dr. Rittle enjoys vegan cooking, gardening, supporting local restaurants, hot yoga, travel and reading. An avid runner, she has completed the Bourbon Chase, a 200 mile relay along Kentucky’s Bourbon Trail, many adventure races including the Firebreather Challenge and Tough Mudder, and the Georgia and Atlanta Marathons.
Dr. Rittle and her husband Craig share their Midtown home with three cats, a hairless Chinese crested, two leopard tortoises, and a leopard gecko.
