Dr. Leslie Priest

Veterinarian

Dr. Priest grew up in Fort Lauderdale, FL, and received her undergraduate degree in biology from Florida State University. Before veterinary school, she worked as a veterinary assistant and receptionist in a small animal hospital and as a veterinary assistant at an animal shelter in South Florida. She received her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from the University of Florida in 2005, graduating with honors.

Following graduation, Dr. Priest spent three years working at a practice in Marietta, GA. Before joining Peachtree Hills Animal Hospital in 2015, Dr. Priest worked for six years in animal welfare, serving pet owners who were financially struggling. Her experience of working with pets that may not have received timely veterinary care exposed her to a large amount of very unusual, often advanced medical and surgical cases. Dr. Priest has also worked in spay/neuter programs to help control the problem of homeless pets ending up in shelters. Her special interests include preventative care, geriatric medicine, dentistry, and general surgery.

In her free time, Leslie enjoys yoga, hiking, and spending time with her family. She shares her home with her husband, two children, and her pit bull mixes,  Sunny and Freddie.
