Meet Our Doctors

Dr. Duffy Jones
DVM
Dr. Duffy Jones is a native of the Atlanta area, and he grew up within walking distance of Peachtree Hills Animal Hospital. Dr. Jones is a graduate of Christ the King Elementary School and Marist High School. He attended the University of Notre Dame, and later Tufts University School of Veterinary Medicine (now renamed the Cummings School of Veterinary Medicine at Tufts University). There, he received his Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine in 1999.
After that, Dr. Jones completed a one-year rotating internship in emergency medicine, internal medicine, and surgery at Georgia Veterinary Specialists. He then spent five years working at Bells Ferry Veterinary Hospital and South Cherokee Veterinary Hospital. In August of 2005, he opened Peachtree Hills Animal Hospital in Buckhead.
He is currently on the Board of the Georgia Veterinary Medical Association, where he has served in virtually every position and capacity and is now a CE teacher. He has recently become a WebMD Pet Health Community Guest Expert, and has contributed to blog posts and podcasts for Victoria Stilwell’s Positively website.
He has written a book, “The Business Side of Veterinary Medicine”, and is a co-founder and partner in a consultancy (DVM Success) that helps other independent veterinary practices thrive.
Dr. Jones considers himself lucky to have married the girl next door, Courtney. They have been blessed with two sons, Dawson and Grady, and a daughter Sydney. In his spare time, Dr. Jones likes to fly fish and play basketball and soccer.
He is very involved as a parent volunteer at Christ the King School and his alma mater Marist School. There, he has recently served as a varsity soccer coach, coaching his two sons and two nephews.
Pets
The Jones home is currently run by Rosie and Millie, two spoiled Royal Cavalier King Charles Spaniels.

Dr. Edith Rogers
DVM
An Atlanta native, Dr. Rogers previously served as a staff veterinarian at Adobe Animal Hospital in Palo Alto, CA, a 21-doctor practice open 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. She began practicing small animal medicine in Beverly Hills, CA at the Miller Robertson Animal Hospital.
A graduate of The Westminster Schools, Dr. Rogers received a bachelor’s degree in Biology from the University of Georgia, and a DVM from the UGA College of Veterinary Medicine in 2003. She then completed a one-year rotating internship at Animal Medical Center in Manhattan, New York’s largest facility for animal care, research, and education. Animal Medical Care has over 90 veterinarians and an average of 50,000 cases a year.
In April 2009, Dr. Rogers returned to Atlanta with her family. She is thrilled to be home and even more excited to have joined the dedicated team of Peachtree Hills Animal Hospital. Dr. Rogers lives in Buckhead with her husband, Michael, and their three beautiful children.
Pets
Dr. Rogers’ family includes two dogs, Jack and Lucy, and their cat Phoebe.

Dr. Tara Rittle
DVM, CVA
An experienced small animal veterinarian and Certified Veterinary Acupuncturist, Dr. Tara Rittle’s practice philosophy focuses on preventative medicine, client education, and working with pet owners to assist them in making the best decisions for their pets. Palliative and hospice care are areas of special interest as well.
A native of Palmyra, Pennsylvania, she attended the University of Florida College of Veterinary Medicine and completed an internship in Wildlife and Conservation Medicine at Tufts. She remained in Massachusetts, treating small animals and exotic pets before relocating to Atlanta in 2007.
Dr. Tara was honored in Atlanta Magazine’s 2010 Pet Edition as a ‘Best Exotics Vet’, but has since limited her practice to cats and dogs. She received her training and certification in Veterinary Acupuncture in 2010 and joined PHAH in 2013.
In her free time, Tara enjoys cooking, supporting local restaurants, yoga, adventure travel, and reading.
Pets
Dr. Tara shares her Buckhead home with two cats, Dimi and Gus, a Hairless Chinese Crested dog, Wizard, and two leopard tortoises, Mortimer and Frank.

Dr. Brittany Kaufman
DVM
Dr. Brittany Kaufman grew up in Alpharetta and started working in her local vet clinic at the young age of 13. She studied animal science at The University of Tennessee, then attended the University of Georgia’s School of Veterinary Medicine. Dr. Kaufman has been practicing small animal medicine in the Atlanta area since 2010. Her interests include soft tissue surgery and geriatric medicine.
In her free time, Brittany enjoys spending time on the lake with family and friends. She enjoys staying involved in the community, coaching Special Olympics basketball and serving as a fairy god parent of Bert’s Big Adventure. She is a graduate of Leadership Georgia (class of 2013).
Pets
Brittany and her husband Michael have one golden doodle named Eleanor Beardsley the Great, aka “Ellie” or “Bear Bear”.

Dr. Jennifer Rudolph
DVM
Dr. Rudolph is a 2005 graduate of the Auburn University College of Veterinary Medicine. She also earned her Bachelor of Science in Zoology from Auburn University. Growing up in Fort Lauderdale FL, her love of the ocean began at an early age, and she knew that she wanted to pursue Veterinary Medicine as a career. While in Veterinary School, Dr. Jennifer completed numerous aquatic and marine mammal programs in the Florida Keys, Sarasota, and Woods Hole, MA.
Dr. Jennifer enjoys all aspects of Veterinary Medicine, specifically surgery, dentistry, and geriatric medicine. She values building lasting relationships with people by caring for their pets. She thoroughly enjoys helping owners navigate through all stages of their pet’s life. Dr. Jennifer knows that having a pet can be stressful at times and understands that Veterinarians are an integral part of putting “puzzle pieces” together between the pet and their owners.
In her free time, Dr. Jennifer enjoys spending time with family and friends, traveling, trying new restaurants, and attempting to exercise. She also loves to browse antique stores, watch HGTV, and be a “personal shopper” for friends.
Dr Jennifer has the most sweet and friendly long-haired Miniature Dachshund named Stella. Stella loves to give kisses, roll over for tummy rubs, and bask in sun beams.

Dr. Dana Stewart
Dr. Stewart grew up in Long Island, New York and completed her undergraduate studies at Stony Brook University. She received her degree in Veterinary Medicine from Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine in 2012. Shortly after graduation, she moved to upstate NY and accepted a position practicing emergency and companion animal medicine. She remained upstate for 8 years where she met her now-husband, Chris. In January 2020, her family decided it was time for the next chapter and moved to Atlanta, Georgia where she accepted a position at Peachtree Hills Animal Hospital.
Dr. Stewart enjoys fostering relationships with clients and in doing so providing the best possible patient care for their furry family member. Her professional interests include dermatology, soft tissue surgery, and preventative medicine. Outside of veterinary medicine, she enjoys hanging out with her husband, son, dogs- Charli (Belgian Malinois mix) and Apollo (Chow chow/Bloodhound mix), and their cat Mando. They enjoy trying new cuisine, CrossFit, hiking and traveling. Dr. Stewart is a CrossFit level 1 trainer and when you cannot find her at the office, you can likely find her in her garage gym working out.
Dr. Stewart is Fear Free Certified.

Dr. Tracy Navarra
DVM
Dr. Tracy grew up in Marietta, Georgia. After earning her BS in Biology from the University of Georgia, where she graduated with the highest honors from Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine in 2007.
She then completed a one-year rotating small animal internship at Friendship Hospital for Animals in Washington D.C. She continued practicing in the D.C. area until the desire to be closer to family brought her back to Atlanta in 2016.
Dr. Navarra has a strong interest in internal medicine. She respects how complicated disease processes can be, and she dedicates her time and energy to creating thoughtful and thorough treatment plans for each unique patient. Additionally, she has advanced training in emergency/critical care, ultrasound, and ophthalmology.
“What has surprised me the most in my career was how much I loved working and getting to know the pets’ owners. I have always had a deep love for animals but witnessing and improving the bond between humans and their pets is truly the most rewarding part of my job.”
She is thrilled to be back in Georgia, and even more excited to have joined the dedicated team at Peachtree Hills Animal Hospital in 2020. Dr. Navarra lives in Decatur with her husband, Erich, and her adventurous son, Finn.
Pets
Dr. Navarra currently shares her home with Stella, a 10-year-old lab, and Chill, a very laid-back cat.

Dr. Jayme Douglas
DVM
Dr. Jayme earned her bachelor’s degree in Biology and Chemistry from the College of Charleston before heading to the University of Georgia College of Veterinary Medicine for her Veterinary Degree – Go Dawgs! During the summers of Veterinary School, she worked as a Veterinary Nurse and was involved as a volunteer with several rescue organizations, as well as spay and neuter clinics.
Dr. Douglas’s favorite summer was spent working with Elephants at the Southern Thailand animal hospital, combining her passion for animals and travel. She has spent the past three years working at an Emergency & Primary Care Veterinary Clinic in Atlanta. She is now thrilled to join the staff at Peachtree Hills Animal Hospital!
Dr. Douglas’s professional interests include emergency medicine, preventative care, surgery, dermatology, and behavioral therapy (especially ensuring that nervous babies enjoy coming to the vet).
Pets
Jayme spends her spare time traveling, exploring the outdoors, spending time with friends and family, spoiling her three rescue babies (Nahla & Nellie – pictured) and her three-legged, most perfect, cat (who thinks she’s a dog), Olive.

Dr. Leanne LeFavi
DVM
Dr. Leanne LeFavi is from Savannah, GA. She earned her bachelor’s degree from the University of Georgia in 2015 and her DVM from the UGA College of Veterinary Medicine in 2019 (Go Dawgs!). In undergrad and veterinary school, she spent summers working with her favorite parasite ~ heartworms ~ in an infectious diseases research lab.
Dr. LeFavi’s veterinary interests include feline medicine, dermatology, oncology, and preventative care. She is also Fear-Free certified for all pets.
Pets
Leanne lives in East Atlanta with her rescue Border Collie (Olive), dilute calico (Cannoli), and senior citizen orange tabby (Egg). On weekends, you can find her bopping around on the Beltline with Olive!

Dr. Leslie Priest
DVM
Dr. Priest grew up in Fort Lauderdale, FL, and received her undergraduate degree in biology from Florida State University. Prior to veterinary school, she worked as a veterinary assistant and receptionist in a small animal hospital, and as a veterinary assistant at an animal shelter in South Florida. She received her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from The University of Florida in 2005, graduating with honors.
Following graduation, Dr. Priest spent three years working at a practice in Marietta, GA. Prior to joining Peachtree Hills Animal Hospital in 2015, Dr. Priest worked for six years in animal welfare, serving pet owners who were financially struggling. Her experience of working with pets that may not have received timely veterinary care exposed her to a large amount of very unusual, often advanced medical and surgical cases. Dr. Priest has also worked in spay/neuter programs to help control the problem of homeless pets ending up in shelters. Her special interests include preventative care, geriatric medicine, dentistry, and general surgery.

Dr. Andrew Sackellares
Dr. Andrew Sackellares is from Roswell, GA. He is a proud double Dawg, earning his bachelor’s degree with honors from the University of Georgia in 2019 and his DVM with honors from the UGA College of Veterinary Medicine in 2023. In undergrad, he spent his summers as a small animal technician, lab animal assistant, and working with wildlife vets in South Africa! During Veterinary School he worked for UGA’s Large Animal Treatment Crew and was actively involved in the Veterinary Business Management Association.
Dr. Andrew’s veterinary interests include cardiology, emergency medicine, and preventative care. He is also Fear-Free Certified.
In his free time, Dr. Andrew spends as much time as possible outdoors. He can be found fly fishing, playing golf & disc golf, exercising, or at the lake with his rescued Labrador mix, Goose.

Dr. Alicia
Dr. Alicia knew from a young age that she wanted to work with animals, she started her first job at a local veterinary clinic at the age of 15. Dr. Alicia is a Georgia native, but decided to attend Purdue University to complete her undergraduate degree in Animal Sciences. She then escaped the cold and returned home for veterinary school at the University of Georgia. She moved to Atlanta after veterinary school and has worked in general practice ever since. Dr. Alicia’s areas of interest include dentistry, surgery, and education. She shares her home with a crazy Siamese-tabby mix named Cree. In her free time, she enjoys hiking, traveling, reading, baking, bowling, and rock climbing.
